Match Review – Swansea 2-0 Leicester

Here are a few numbers to consider after today’s match.

8 – The Foxes have now conceded the first goal on eight occasions. Only Crystal Palace have shipped the first goal more often in the league this season. In 2009/10 just 9% of Championship matches were won by the side conceding the first goal. If Leicester are looking to climb the table fast, they’ll need to impose themselves on games earlier. Three first half goals in 13 league matches isn’t enough.

92 – The Foxes have won almost 100 corners. Not a single goal has come of them. Indeed, Leicester City haven’t scored a league goal from a single set piece this season.

1 – City have yet to win consecutive games this season. There’s obviously a long way to go, but it’s worth knowing that since 1989 every side that has failed to win successive matches in this division has been relegated.
