Charting the Foxes – Leicester City’s League Cup Record

The table below shows Leicester City’s record in the League Cup since the competition began in 1960.

The key is pretty straightforward. Blue cells indicate wins, red ones defeats. A grey cell is used to denote a bye to the next round.

A couple of interesting historical notes;

  • Leicester won just one League Cup tie in eight seasons between 1976/77 and 1983/84.
  • The Foxes have won all five League Cup Semi-Finals which they have contested.
  • City have only suffered one defeat in the 1st Round. That came against tonight’s opponents, Rotherham United.
